Donavan Pierre York known professionally as Pierre York (pronounced "Pi- EHR Yor") is a Creative Director, Photographer, and Producer, born in the Southside of Chicago, Illinois. He moved to Washington, D.C., in 1999, and studied typography by collecting zines as an adolescent establishing a love for film & print advertising. Intrigued by the composition of photography aesthetics and color theory of classic films, He later enrolled at Norfolk State University in 2006, as a Sociology & Liberal Arts major at a Historically Black College & University taking courses in photography, fine art & graphic design. During college, he founded the eponymous creative company PierreYork Studios in 2008 to harness his passion for the arts and amplify his vision as a professional artist. Aimed to sharpen skills including visual merchandising & styling for brands J.Crew & Michael Kors. During college, he began interning with entertainment marketing companies and record labels for tour marketing marketing promotion assets for breakout artists like Kendrick Lamar, and The Weeknd at The Norva concert venue in Virginia. For over 10+ years, PierreYork Studios has globally consulted on Advertising, Marketing & Branding, Artist Touring, Art Direction & Creative Direction.

Driven to produce on a larger scale, Donavan Pierre York was motivated to relocate to Los Angeles in late 2013. In 2014, he began working as an Associate Creative Director and Producer of digital-first creative content for the newly launched television network Revolt Media & TV working in social content, live programming, and strategic brand partnerships like NBA All-Star Weekend, Ciroc, Deleon Tequila, and Revolt Music Summit Conference. In 2016 he began creative consulting for Sony Music’s Grammy award-winning artist Bryson Tiller –directing digital & social marketing campaigns for U.S. and Europe tours. After several years in creative agencies and consulting at PierreYork Studios for clients Spotify, WMG, Empire, Vanity Fair, Champion, and Cultured Magazine. Donavan gained hands-on experience in production, strategy, content, and branding aesthetics across industries. In 2021, he helped lead creative direction marketing promo launches for Atlantic Records Grammy award-winning Roddy Ricch album release, and in 2022 for the trilogy series of his first EP Album. Following several years in agencies and creative consulting, In 2022 Donavan Pierre York joined the Apple Worldwide Product Marketing executive team in Cupertino CA.
